Prefere Melamines produces amino crosslinkers exclusively and leads the world in doing so. With us the programme is available as Maprenal, Resimene, Viamin and Hypersal — highly methylated and partially alkylated grades for different stoving windows.
A crosslinker is not chosen in isolation: degree of methylation, acid catalysis, oven curve and pot life all hang together, and the base resin has its say. Where low-formaldehyde grades are required — on wood-based panels and laminates, for instance — that is a criterion of its own. Exactly why a conversation before the sample order pays off.
