Additives for battery manufacturing — dispersing and rheology of electrode slurries with the BYK-ET range.
Electrode slurries are extreme dispersing cases: conductive carbon black and active materials with huge surface areas must be distributed homogeneously, the rheology set precisely for coating the foil, and every air bubble avoided — defects in the electrode become defects in the cell. Waterborne anode formulations bring foam problems on top.
From BYK we carry the BYK-ET range: wetting and dispersing additives plus process additives developed specifically for electrode slurries and other energy-storage applications.
