Additives for plastisols and organosols — viscosity, air release and pigmentation from the coating line to the dip tank.
A plastisol is a paste of PVC powder and plasticiser — its viscosity is the heart of processing: it must match the process (spreading, dipping, spraying), stay stable over storage time and gel reproducibly. Add to that air beaten in during mixing, and pigments and fillers that want to be evenly distributed — in flooring as much as in synthetic leather or underbody protection.
From BYK we carry the classic plastisol additives: VISCOBYK viscosity depressants, DISPERPLAST wetting and dispersing additives for pigments and fillers, plus air release agents and defoamers for production and coating.
Viscosity depressants keep the plastisol in the processing window — without extra plasticiser. — Additives for plastics processing →
Air release agents for pastes — trapped air otherwise becomes a pore in the gelled film. — Defoamers →
Wetting and dispersing additives for plastisols secure shade and homogeneity. — Wetting & dispersing additives →
