Additives for digital printing inks — pigment stability and wetting at picolitre scale.
An inkjet nozzle forgives nothing: pigments must be dispersed to sub-micron size and kept stable for months, or the print head clogs. At the same time the droplet has to spread on the substrate in a controlled way — too little leaves gaps, too much gives washed-out edges. Dispersion and dynamic wetting are half the recipe here.
We supply the BYK dispersing additives for ultrafine pigment concentrates and the surface additives for wetting control in waterborne, solvent-borne and UV-curing ink systems.
