In coil coating the formulation has seconds: uncoil, coat, stove at peak metal temperatures around 230 °C, cool, rewind. Air release and levelling have to happen within that window, or popping and craters travel across the whole strip. After forming into roof or facade profiles, the film must neither crack nor scratch.
