Raw materials for industrial floors, self-levelling compounds and seal coats — void-free, level, hard-wearing.
Floors are cast in thick layers over large areas — every entrapped air bubble rises and leaves a crater or pinhole that is impossible to miss in raking light. Air release is therefore half the formulation work; add to that levelling, substrate wetting on concrete and the mechanical and chemical durability in service.
We supply BYK air release agents and defoamers for epoxy and PU systems, levelling additives and rheology building blocks, plus PU dispersions from Alberdingk Boley for waterborne seal coats and parquet lacquers.
Typical defects — and where the solution lies
Craters and pinholes in the self-levelling compound
Air-release additives for thick-film epoxy and PU systems — rising air must leave no trace. — Defoamers →
Wetting defects on concrete
Substrate wetting additives compensate for absorbent and contaminated substrates. — Surface additives →
Flow in the field, stability at the cove
Balance the rheology between self-levelling and sag resistance. — Rheology additives →
Waterborne seal with durability requirements
PU dispersions bring hardness and chemical resistance to waterborne seals and parquet lacquers. — Acrylic & PU dispersions →
